Interviewing for Emotional Intelligence

Measuring a candidate's emotional intelligence provides insight on how a prospective employee may respond to a situation, recognize self worth, and their ability to read a room.  For candidates, behavioral interviewing can be the most stressful part of the job seeking process.  For employers, behavioral interviewing can be the most grueling part of the candidate seeking process.

SHRM recently discussed this topic in an article titled Want to Really Get to Know Your Candidates? Interview for Emotional Intelligence.

What are your thoughts on behavioral interviewing?  Have you been thrown off by a behavioral question that you were not prepared to answer?  What is the most "interesting" question you have been asked in an interview?  I would love to read your comments!
